Things and happenings that only happens in the Philippines
When you claim that you know Sarah Geronimo, you're called jologs.
When you say you don't know John Travolta, you're called stupid.
When someone joins a contest, the person with the most tragic story will most likely win.
When you ask the waiter what's the specialty of the restaurant, he will most likely answer, "lahat po.".
The country is called poor yet there are malls, bars and restaurants everywhere, and almost everyone owns a cellular phone.
Celebrities do everything-from singing to dancing to acting to hosting. Even if they're good at none.
When there are tragedies such as typhoons and earthquakes, you'll even find the victims smiling and waving at the cameras [as seen on television]. You'll even see these people swimming as if their place is one big, pool. [well yeah, it is.]
We're the only country that has signs "Bawal umihi dito.", yet people still do. Worse, we're the only country with the sign, "Bawal tumae dito." in public places. God, Filipinos actually take a shit even in open spaces?People tend to "help" you, with of course something in return. I noticed this in airport

Happy Anniversary Mahal..
september 15, 2006

Wow, It's already been a year. How time flies. " parang kahapon lang nung nagkakilala tayo". I can even remember our very first conversation, our first text to each other, our first phone call, and the first time we exchanged "I love you". I remember how you used to get frustrated whenever you'd hint that you had feelings for me, and I tried to ignore it. I remember how you called me "manhid" because I'd always make a joke everytime you tried to tell me you had feelings for me. I remember how you asked me to be your girlfriend and I was "kilig" then, but now we both think it's so corny haha! I even remember our first fight, and how you didn't want to sleep without resolving our problem. Mahal, thank you for the one whole year. I appreciate everything you do for me, even if sometimes I tend to take you for granted. I know we have our ups and downs, but I'm glad that we've pulled through it all together.
I can't imagine life without you. The feeling you give me is really magical. I just want you to know that after 1 year, I am still so much in love with you and each day since we got together only made me realize how much I want to spend my entire life with you.
We may have our share of bad moments but nevertheless, I want you to understand that you make me so happy and loved I won't let our petty fights get in the way.
Cheers to our 1 year and our future life together.
I love you mahal, always will. Happy Anniversary.

this thing called "love"
What do you do when you fail in love? What do you do when your love remains unreciprocated, or hidden? Is it like dead people who have unfinished business haunting you forever? What is the point of loving someone in the first place? How will your questions be answered? Will it ever be answered? Maybe. Maybe in time you'll understand.Maybe in time, things will be explained to you.Or maybe, your questions will be forgotten. Maybe your questions will just be left hanging. Maybe it will just fade without you knowing the truth. And maybe, just maybe, your questions, just like your love, will remain unanswered forever.

thought of the day
Sometimes, loving your partner and learning to accept him/her is not enough. You'll be surprised at how many couples have broken up not because they were unhappy, but because there was no magic in their relationship anymore..."

The long wait is over..
finally got to spend time with mahal

missing you so much mahal koy

Valentine Shmalentine
I really dislike Valentine's Day. It doesn't matter whether I have a boyfriend or not, I just dislike the sappiness of it all. I don't like how there is one day a year when couples are supposed to go out to nice fancy dinners, women are supposed to get flowers and chocolate and singles are supposed to profess their love for their long time crush. Don't get me wrong, when I DO have a significant other, we usually end up going out to eat, and while we usually pick a place a bit more expensive than usual, it always seems forced. Are we supposed to act differently? More romantic perhaps? Be lost in our own little world while 20 other couples are doing the same thing in that exact same restaurant? Nyeh, just another silly thought.
